Musk Secret Plot: Aims To Shake Up UK Politics With Right-Wing Allies Before Next Election

by Editorial

Billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX Elon Musk is secretly strategizing with right-wing allies to destabilize the UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s government ahead of the next general election. This is according to sources cited by the Financial Times, where it is alleged that Musk-a close associate of US President-elect Donald Trump-is considering ways of influencing British politics beyond his public criticism of Starmer on his social media platform, X.

Musk is reportedly mulling over supporting right-wing populist parties like Reform UK in a bid to break the existing leadership. This strategy seeks to take advantage of the parliamentary system in which prime ministers lead by maintaining a majority in the House of Commons. There have been cases, such as Tony Blair and Boris Johnson, in which prime ministers resigned midterm as their popularity dwindled.

In recent months, Musk has been vocal about UK politics, although many of his attacks have been targeted at Starmer’s Labour government. He recently advocated for a national inquiry into historical cases of grooming by gangs involving the sexual exploitation of girls by groups of British-Pakistani men. Musk claimed that because Starmer had been director of public prosecutions, he was “complicit” in these crimes. Starmer denied this utterly, stating he is “victims of lies and misinformation.

As his interest in British politics grows, Musk is now sharing the co-leadership of a Trump-backed initiative to reduce US government spending. His open comments on UK issues have raised concern over the impact of his wealth and platform on British political discourse. The Labour government has yet to comment on reports of his alleged efforts to undermine its leadership.
