Islamabad is back with a gun-to-its-head policy. It is clearly telling the US that unless the Biden Administration takes the Pakistani side, it will spoil the American game in Afghanistan, Indo-Pacific and elsewhere.

Given China’s actions in eastern Ladakh and its collusion with Pakistan, India needs to strengthen its military capabilities, not only by upgrading its troops and tools, but also by finding allies to back it up in times of need. A great way of securing such necessary partnerships is by conducting and participating in joint military exercises with other like-minded democratic nations.
